Who We Are
About Our Church Ministry Statement
We’d love for you to know what we are all about at Bethel Baptist Church and hope to share this with you as simply as possible. So let us take a few moments to tell you some important reasons why we believe that God has brought us together to serve him as a united body of believers.
One of our favorite attributes is the fact that we are all about family. We cherish this attribute because of the many ways that the ideal of family is manifested through the ministry of our church. First and most importantly, of course, is the fact that we became family as a body of Born-Again Believers in the Lord Jesus Christ and united as a family through the power of the Holy Spirit. We serve Christ as one through a faith that unites our hearts and draws us together into His service. We also seek to grow together as a family through loving fellowship and devoted service that gives us a closeness that cannot be achieved through the casual encounters during a worship service once or twice a week. As a family, we seek to care for one another with the deepest heartfelt love that Christ instills within us. We are truly blessed to be a part of such a wonderful family of faith at Bethel.
Though a deep sense of family is one of the strongest attributes of our church, there are many other things that we hold dear to our hearts that ought to be readily recognizable through the ministry of any church. We are a Body of Believers who possesses a deep love and sense of reverence for our times of worship. We enjoy a deep sense of communion and an amazing moving of the Spirit of God when we allow Him to draw our hearts together as one. We love to worship in song through old fashioned hymns, some of our favorite southern gospel tunes, and even a few beautiful and stirring contemporary songs. From the pulpit, we prayerfully trust the Gospel to be preached in the Power of the Holy Spirit and to be held to truly represent the inerrant truth of God’s Holy Word.
Finally, we are growing in our commitment to fulfill the Great Commission. We are daily responding to the urging of the Holy Spirit for us to reach out to a lost and dying world. We have a growing body of laborers who are committed to working for the furtherance of the Kingdom of God. Come be with us and experience the joyous expectancy that God is ever up to something special.
